Three US marines have been killed in a roadside bomb blast in Baghdad in the first reported fatal attack on US occupation forces in Iraq since the formal handover of authority to an interim government.

A US military spokesman said two marines were also wounded in the explosion that wrecked a Humvee vehicle escorting a convoy carrying engineering equipment.

Meanwhile, Aljazeera aired a video tape on Monday showing what a purported Iraqi group said was the execution of a US soldier. While uncertainty shrouded his fate, three Turkish hostages walked free after their release by another group. A car bomb in northern Iraq has wounded a Kurdish politician even as assailants detonated an explosion at the interim prime minister’s offices and a Shia political party headquarters came under attack.

The car bomb blast in the Kurdish city of Irbil wounded the Kurdistan Democratic Party’s culture minister Mahmud Muhammad and killed one of his bodyguards, reported Aljazeera’s correspondent Ahmad Zawiti.

Another 40 people were wounded in Saturday’s blast. The car bomb exploded outside the KDP’s Culture Ministry in the northern Kurdish city, some 350km north of Baghdad. No one has claimed responsibility for the attack, reported Zawiti. Read more »

A roadside bomb has exploded near a hospital in Baghdad, killing at least two civilians.

The charred wreckage of a car lay in the road near Baghdad’s Kindi Hospital after the blast on Wednesday, which police had initially described as a car bomb.

“There was a man, a woman and a child in the car,” said civil defence guard Ghazi Majid Ali, speaking near the wreckage.

Police said at least two people had been killed and a third seriously wounded by the explosion. Read more »

Rich rapper Method Man is complaining about Jewish-run Fox for cutting some of the ‘ghetto’ out of his show. Method Man stars and produces the show along with fellow rapper Redman. The pair are famous for being ghetto and excessive drug use, and have made several albums together and the movie ‘How High’. Their show plays on the comedy of 2 rich rappers moving into a wealthy white community. Method Man criticizes the show’s executives and writers for trying too hard to appeal to middle America (read: whites). Perhaps Method Man has some insight and knows that he can act like the worst degenerate felon and whites will still love the show, just like his albums and movie. One Suspect who remained at large was caught one hour later; FBI, other authorities were on the scene

Three police officers were shot and killed Thursday — apparently with armor-piercing rifles — at a Birmingham, Ala. house Thursday as they were serving a warrant. Two or more men were lead away from the house and one suspect remained at large.

Birmingham police Chief Anetta Nunn identified a suspect at large as Nathaniel Lauell Wood, 28.

At least 35 people have been killed and more than 100 others injured in a massive car bombing of the Civil Defence Corp recruitment centre in Baghdad, the Iraqi Health Ministry has said.

Bodies, bloody and battered, lay tangled in the street outside
the centre on Thursday, as ambulances on the scene struggled to deal with the chaos.

A policeman told Aljazeera he thought the blast was caused by a car bomb.

“The explosion took place near al-Muthana airport at the entrance to a US military base. Members of the former Iraqi army were gathering to receive their salaries.”

Zimbabwe- President Robert Mugabe’s government announced a plan on Tuesday to “nationalize” all Zimbabwean farmland. More than 5,000 White farmers have been forced to leave, many butchered and raped by the savage blacks.

Israel has engineered a surface-to-surface cruise missile – a lethal technological first for any Middle Eastern country.

According to a report by Jane’s Defence Weekly to be published next week, the missiles range is officially 250km and can reach neighbouring capitals such as Damascus and Beirut with ease.

But Israeli defence sources on Tuesday said its range is actually “well beyond 300km”. An additional boost engine was the key to making the adaptation possible.

At least 17 Iraqi policemen and members of the security forces along with four foreign contractors and a US soldier have been killed in separate attacks across the occupied country.

Two Poles and two Americans working for Blackwater Security
Consulting were killed on Saturday when a convoy they were traveling in was ambushed in Baghdad, said the Polish Foreign Ministry on Sunday.

Blackwater is one of the biggest and best-known private security firms working in Iraq.

Earlier, a car bomb exploded on Sunday outside an Iraqi security force base in Taji, north of Baghdad, killing six Iraqis, said a US military official at the scene.

A top UN human rights official on Friday said US-led occupation forces have mistreated ordinary Iraqis and called for an international ombudsman to monitor their behaviour.

Acting High Commissioner for Human Rights Bertrand Ramcharand also suggested in a new report that US soldiers accused of human rights violations in Baghdad’s Abu Ghraib prison could be guilty of war crimes.

At least five US soldiers have been killed and five wounded in clashes with Mahdi Army militia in Sadr City as a truce takes hold in Najaf and Kufa.

The US troops were killed when a blast struck their convoy on the edge of the Shia militia stronghold of Sadr City, the US military said on Friday.
