CALDWELL, Idaho - To hear people who call into Idaho’s leading conservative talk radio station, Robert Vasquez is a hero: one of the few politicians to tell it straight.

Mr. Vasquez, 55, a Republican county commissioner and Mexican-American in a region where Latinos are ascendant, has been on a crusade against illegal immigration, what he calls “an imminent invasion” from south of the border.

Mr. Vasquez has tried to have Canyon County declared a disaster area because of the strain from illegal immigrants. He has also sent a bill to the Mexican government for more than $2 million; that is the cost, he said, of Mexicans who are in the county illegally. Continued>>>

Stalin told Churchill he had killed 10 million farmers in the early 1930s, and hailed the butcher of 6 million Ukrainians, Commissar Lazar Kaganovich, as “our Himmler.” The best current estimate of Stalin’s victims is 20 million murdered before WWII, and 10 million from 1941 to ‘53, a total “democide” of 30 million. The former head of a Spanish association of Nazi concentration camp victims said on Wednesday he was never actually a prisoner in any camp and had lied for almost 30 years about his past.

Enric Marco, who published a book entitled “Memories of Hell” in 1978 about his experiences, confessed he had invented his account of suffering in Germany’s Flossenburg concentration camp.

“Why? It was a way of getting as close as possible to say what I needed to say,” Marco told Telecinco television on Wednesday. “I took on the part of other companions who because of age or other reasons could not play this role.” Continued>>>

Mikhail Khodorkovsky, whose Yukos oil company was dismantled by the state during the 19 months he has spent in jail, is to hear the verdict against him Monday in the most closely watched trial of post-Soviet Russia. In the Bush vs. Putin debate on World War II, Putin had far the more difficult assignment. Defending Russia’s record in the “Great Patriotic War,” the Russian president declared, “Our people not only defended their homeland, they liberated 11 European countries.”

Those countries are, presumably: Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Poland, East Germany, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Yugoslavia and Finland.

To ascertain whether Moscow truly liberated those lands, we might survey the sons and daughters of the generation that survived liberation by a Red Army that pillaged, raped and murdered its way westward across Europe. A 13 year old negro killed a 15 year old boy after a baseball game recently in California. There was a dispute after the negro’s team lost their game and an argument broke out between the two boys. The negro pulled a bat from his bag and hit 15 year old Jeremy Rourke in the legs and then the head. One of the little league coaches said “Racism had nothing to do with it. TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Spurred by the killing of a 9-year-old girl, Gov. Jeb Bush on Monday signed a law imposing tougher penalties on child molesters and requiring many of those released from prison to wear satellite tracking devices for the rest of their lives.

The measure gives Florida one of the toughest child-sex laws in the nation.

The Jessica Lunsford Act was quickly drafted after Jessica’s death was discovered in March and was pushed through by lawmakers outraged that the man accused of killing her was a registered sex offender. It passed both the Senate and House unanimously.

It establishes a mandatory sentence of 25 years to life behind bars for people convicted of certain sex crimes against children 11 and younger, with lifetime tracking by global positioning satellite after they are freed.More…..

In a confidential NAACP report, former NAACP President Kweisi Mfume, was accused of giving raises and promotions to women who provided him with sexual favors. Mfume, 56, a Democratic candidate for the U.S. Senate in Maryland, has denied the allegations. Although Mfume would like everyone to believe his story, that may be hard to accomplish, especially after former NAACP President Benjamin Chavis was removed in 1994 after he secretly agreed to pay $332,400 in NAACP funds to settle claims of sexual discrimination by a female aide. Mfume resigned as President of the NAACP only a month after this report was released. more>>>

The Italian government is trying to close down an independent news website which posted a doctored picture of Pope Benedict wearing a swastika armband and standing in front of a nazi flag. Rome said that the picture violated Italian law prohibiting “defamation of the Catholic Church.” Rome also wants to bring charges against the owners of the site for “insulting the authority and honor of the Pope himself.” Pope Benedict, who was a member of the Hitler Youth during World War II, has claimed that he never really supported Hitler. This is very pleasing to Jewish leaders and human rights groups, which have welcomed his election as Pope and his “anti-Nazi roots.” more>>>

A recent study published by a University in Chicago has claimed that stress caused by feelings of discrimination may be causing coronary artery calcification in black women. The researchers supposedly discovered that the more discrimination that black women felt the more likely they were to develop this disorder. The study, conducted on a relatively small group of middle-aged black women, was based on their own personal assessment of how much discrimination they felt. The study admitted that the women experienced no “blantant” discrimination, but claimed instead that discrimination came upon them in the form of poor service in restraunts and stores, and being treated as if they are “less smart.” (Apparently a fate that only befalls black females) Even with all of their efforts to prove their outrageous hypothesis, the conductors of this less than convincing study found the heart disorder corresponded with less than 60% of black females claiming this discrimination. more>>>
