Three hurricane evacuees were charged with capital murder Saturday in the strangulation of Betty Blair, a 77-year-old church leader, mother of three daughters and the widow of former Pasadena school board President Robert “Bob” Blair.

Jimmy Hoang Le, 18, Stephanie Jacobo, 18, both from the Beaumont area, and Roosevelt Smith Jr., 43, of Louisiana, were charged with murdering Blair during a robbery at her Pasadena home Friday.

An active member of St. Pius V Catholic Church, Blair had been helping the three by paying them to do odd jobs and yard work on her property.

“It appears that those that she tried to help were the ones that murdered her,” said Pasadena Police Department spokesman Vance Mitchell. The three lived together in an apartment in the 900 block of Randall in Pasadena, Mitchell said.

They were arrested Friday night at the toll booth at Beltway 8 and Westheimer, driving Blair’s tan 2000 Buick, in which some of her belongings were found. Jacobo’s 10-month-old son also was in the car, and is now with “appropriate relatives,” said Gwen Carter, a spokeswoman for the Department of Family and Protective Services. Source>>>

The man accused of raping and killing a University of Delaware student May 1 allegedly scrawled white supremacist graffiti on the walls of her apartment before setting fire to it.
James E. Cooke, Jr., who is black, used a blue magic marker to write ‘KKK’ in several places near the front door of Lindsey Bonistall’s Towne Court apartment, Newark Police Detective Andrew Rubin said. Rubin, a lead detective in the case, testified Friday during a hearing in Superior Court.
Rubin said police found other phrases on the living room walls.

Some local activists have started to complain to Paramount Studios for promoting their new movie, ‘Get Rich or Die Tryin” featuring ‘gangsta’ rapper Curtis ‘50 cent’ Jackson by using violent ads. Paramount has advertised using billboards showing 50 cent with a gun in one hand and a microphone in the other. The activists claim that these ads promote the gang lifestyle and that they are in the vicinity of schools. The movie is about a drug dealer who enters the rap music industry. I’m not sure if this counts as acting since 50 cent is a self-proclaimed drug dealer turned rapper.

The House voted on Friday to honor the late Rosa Parks by allowing her body to lie in honor in the Rotunda of the Capitol building on Sunday and Monday. This honor is usually reserved for important people like Presidents and war heroes. Congress has authorized this rite only 29 times since homage was paid to Henry Clay in 1852. Those honored include Abraham Lincoln, Gen. John Pershing, John Kennedy, Lyndon Johnson, Hubert Humphrey and unknown soldiers from the WWI, WWII, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. The most recent was President Reagan in June last year. The White House said President Bush will go to the Rotunda to pay his respects to Parks. Officials in Detroit and Montgomery, meanwhile, said the first seats of their buses would be reserved as a tribute to Parks’ legacy until her funeral. Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick put a black ribbon Thursday on the first passenger seat of one of about 200 buses where seats will be reserved. “We cannot do enough to pay tribute to someone who has so positively impacted the lives of millions across the world,” Kilpatrick said. The “positive impact on the lives of millions around the world” that Parks is being honored for was of course her arrest in 1955 for failing to comply with a law requiring her to give up her seat on the public bus to a White man. NEW YORK (Reuters Health) - Among women with an unwanted pregnancy, those who carry the pregnancy to term are more likely to experience later depression than those who terminate the pregnancy with an abortion, new study findings suggest.

Well-designed studies have generally shown that abortion does not contribute to an increased risk of depression, Dr. Sarah Schmiege and Dr. Nancy Felipe Russo note in their report in BMJ Online First, published October 28.

However, one previous study examining these associations among women with an unwanted first pregnancy found that induced abortion was associated with a higher risk of depression than a pregnancy carried to term.

Belgian Holocaust denier to face trial in Germany

BRUSSELS – Belgian Holocaust denier Siegfried Verbeke is to face trial in Germany for claiming the Nazis did not murder six million Jews.

On Wednesday, Le Soir reported that a court in Amsterdam had agreed to extradite Verbeke, who comes from Kortrijk in Flanders. He was arrested at Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam in August and charged with racism and xenophobia and of spreading negationist opinions on the internet.

Germany had already asked Belgium to extradite Verbeke last year, but a Belgian judge refused the request.

In his home country Verbeke has already been convicted of Holocaust denial. The appeals court in Antwerp sentenced him in April to a maximum one-year jail term and a EUR 2,500 fine for breaching negationist and anti-racism laws.

Thousands of blacks rallied against ‘inequalities’ in the US, once again saying the US government was too slow to save them after Hurricane Katrina because they’re black. TOLEDO, Ohio - A crowd that gathered to protest a neo-Nazi march Saturday turned violent, throwing baseball-sized rocks at police, vandalizing vehicles and stores, and setting fire to a neighborhood bar, authorities said.

Mayor Jack Ford blamed the rioting on gang members taking advantage of a volatile situation. He said he was declaring a state of emergency and setting an 8 p.m. curfew. He also ask the Highway Patrol for help.

“It’s exactly what they wanted,” Ford said of the group that planned the march, which was called off because of the rioting.

At least two dozen members of the National Socialist Movement, which calls itself “America’s Nazi Party,” had gathered at a city park just before noon and were to march under police protection. Spike Lee is working on a new HBO documentary ‘When the levee broke’. Jesse Jackson, upset about who the government has hired to rebuild New Orleans, decided that priority should be given to the black hurricane victims of that area. Much of the work in the city has been awarded under no-bid contracts. In an attempt to find blacks who were willing to do the job, and after securing living arrangements and jobs for 600 blacks, he rented a bus to pick them up. Jackson took the bus to St. Louis, Missouri, a primarily black city, which no doubt has provided safe haven for numerous hurricane victims. However, Jackson did not have much success finding blacks who would volunteer to work rebuilding the city. State authorities are investigating allegations New Orleans police officers broke into a dealership and made off with nearly 200 cars - including 41 new Cadillacs - as Hurricane Katrina closed in.
“It is a very, very active investigation,” Kris Wartelle, spokeswoman for the Louisiana attorney general, said Friday. “We expect developments quickly.” Wartelle would not comment on why the officers may have taken the cars or whether they were used in the line of duty. However, the cars may have been taken before the hurricane even roared into town Aug. 29, according to the president and general manager of the dealership, Doug Stead. Stead said the cars included 88 new Cadillacs and Chevrolets, 40 used cars, 52 customers’ cars and a restored 1970 El Camino and 1966 Impala. “We put the loss on new cars at $3.7 million,” Stead said. “The used cars ran another $900,000.” When reports first surfaced last month that officers may have taken the cars, New Orleans Police Superintendent Warren Riley said it was not considered looting because the officers patrolled in the cars. “There were some officers who did use Cadillacs,” Riley said. “Those cars were not stolen.” Source>>>

Hurricane Katrina has done one good thing for our people. It has shown us the true horror of Black crime. Many of us are now not able to hide as easily from it. It has been brought from New Orleans and dropped onto our doorstep like a baby we never wanted.

In small towns, and cities all over America Whites have found out what Blacks are really like. Many Katrina refugees are roaming the US looking for handouts. Here locally in the Fort Worth Texas area, one church who thought they would somehow be doing the community a favor by setting up a shelter for these people got a much needed wake up call. European health authorities were put on alert over the weekend following reports that bird-flu has broken out in Romania and Turkey - with the potential risk of infection for humans.

In Romania over the weekend, the mass-slaughter of poultry was carried out after the discovery of three flu-infected birds in the village of Smardan. 3400 persons in the affected area were given anti-flu vaccine in an attempt to stop the virus spreading from birds to humans.

The Philadelphia Inquirer today reports on the front page that the town of Riverside, NJ ‘has been adjusting to an influx of Brazilian Immigrants. Police are searching for three suspects believed to be involved with the double slaying of a St. Joseph couple and the gang rape of a St. Joseph teen late last week. “We believe that the suspects are connected (with both incidents),” said Cmdr. Jim Connors, a spokesman for the St. Joseph Police Department.
The suspects, whose names weren’t released Thursday, are described as being black males in their late teens or early 20s, and are considered armed and dangerous, Mr. Connors said.
