ORLANDO, Fla. - Fistfights broke out and police made 17 arrests Saturday at a neo-Nazi rally and march through a predominantly black neighborhood.

In khaki uniforms, tall black boots and red arm patches bearing swastikas, about 30 members of the National Socialist Movement were barricaded on one side by SWAT team members at the rally. On the other side of the SWAT officers, a group of about 100 black-clad counter-demonstrators, many covering their faces with black masks, held anti-Nazi signs. CHICAGO (AFP) - A federal court has upheld the US government’s decision to revoke the citizenship of a Yugoslavian immigrant who served as a guard in a Nazi concentration camp.

Josias Kumpf, 81, has admitted to standing guard at a camp in Trawniki, Poland while 8,000 Jewish men, women, and children were murdered in a single day, the US Department of Justice said in a statement Friday.

Kumpf, who currently lives in Racine, Wisconsin, has also admitted working at construction sites in France where prisoners built launching platforms for Germany’s V-1 and V-2 missile attacks on England.

“The mass murders perpetrated by the Nazis at Trawniki and elsewhere could not have been carried out without the participation of men like Josias Kumpf,” Eli Rosenbaum, director of the Office of Special Investigations, said in a statement.

NEW YORK - The condition of a drum maker hospitalized with anthrax has worsened, Mayor Michael Bloomberg said Friday.

Vado Diomande apparently became infected after importing raw animal hides from Africa for use in drums. He traveled in December to Ivory Coast and became ill shortly after he returned, bringing several goat hides with him.

“He’s in serious trouble,” Bloomberg said at a news conference. “Inhalation anthrax is very often fatal. … I think your prayers have to be with him.”

Lipstadt once again can’t make up her mind and doesn’t know what she is talking about. In the Jewish supremacist academic world she does well without being accurate. 

American historian Deboarh E. Lipstadt announced Wednesday she was withdrawing from an Israeli cartoon competition poking fun at the Holocaust that she was to judge.

Lipstadt, who is currently in Rome, said she had made a mistake and that she calls on the organizers to cancel the contest.

The contest’s organizers said they had not yet received word from the Emory University faculty member that she had pulled out.

An Israeli lawyer, Ervin Shahar, says he has asked Germany to charge Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad with denying the Holocaust.

Although Mr Ahmadinejad did not deny the Holocaust on German soil, another law passed in 2005 permits the filing of international cases in German courts.

Mr Shahar hopes the case might result in international warrants for Mr Ahmadinejad’s arrest, thus preventing the president from entering the US or Europe.

A Susquehanna Twp. spiritual leader has been charged with soliciting sex over the Internet from someone he believed was a 12-year-old girl.

Steven Jacob Mojecki, 45, of the 2000 block of Bradley Drive, Susquehanna Twp., is charged with criminal solicitation and criminal use of the Internet, first- and third-degree felonies. ”

We have no statement at this time,” said a woman inside the Mojecki home yesterday.

Mojecki also has been a full-time employee of Harrisburg Area Community College since 1992, working as a technical analyst in the Information Technology Department. Read more »

Ramiro Gallegos, 26, was sentenced to roughly 14 years to 18 years in prison for the death of Scott Gardner.
“It is difficult to face this gentleman … who did not even stay to help those who he hurt,” Gardner’s uncle, Terry Lee, said in a statement to the court just before the sentencing. There is “no punishment great enough for this man.”
Gallegos, an orphan educated by his siblings, moved to the U.S. from Mexico when he was 17, said his lawyer, William Peregoy.
He has three previous DWI convictions, but none resulted in his deportation.

CHICAGO (AFP) - A clash over of their son’s circumcision has landed the parents of an eight-year-old Illinois boy in a US court where there is no apparent precedent.
A Cook County judge ordered the mother in the case not to have her son circumcised until the court can hear arguments from the child’s father, who opposes the operation, and decide if it is in the boy’s best interest.

MANNHEIM, Germany (AP) - Lawyers for a German man charged with denying the Holocaust split over tactics Thursday as the judge demanded an apology from a defence lawyer for disrupting proceedings.
Proceedings have been slowed by a string of motions, objections and interruptions from defence lawyer Sylvia Stolz, prompting presiding judge Ulrich Meinerzhagen to accuse her of insulting the court and sabotaging the trial.
Stolz is one of three defence lawyers who insist the court should examine evidence for the Holocaust. None of them have contested Zundel’s alleged statements.
However, Zundel is also represented by three court-appointed lawyers, who have taken a different tack.
Stolz, who has denounced the court as a “tool of foreign domination,” said she had her client’s complete trust.
“The only chance for Mr. Zundel and for Germany is that the arbitrariness is uncovered,” she said outside the court. “The verdict has already been decided.”

Iran has said Israel’s treatment of the Palestinians constituted a greater crime than the Nazi Holocaust.
The statement from the Iranian foreign ministry on Sunday was the latest in a series of remarks from Tehran suggesting that the genocide was exaggerated to boost Israeli interests.
Hamid Reza Asefi, the foreign ministry spokesman, told a news conference: “I believe the crimes committed by the Zionist regime are greater than the Holocaust.

Stefan Meller, Poland’s Foreign Minister, has ruled out allowing any Iranian researchers to examine the scale of the Holocaust committed by the German Nazis on Polish soil during World War II.
Meller’s remarks came after repeated denials of the Jewish Holocaust by Iranian officials and their suggestions that more research is needed to establish the truth about what happened to European Jews.

An 11 year old boy was recently arrested in Manchester, England in connection with a schoolyard quarrel and resulting altercation with another boy. The boy, who was engaged in a quarrel with an Asian boy, allegedly used a racial slur during the fight. Although schoolyard fights are a common occurrence at every school, especially among young boys, if the boy is fighting a non-white student then it becomes a police matter. The head of the school said: “Racist remarks made against any pupil are taken extremely seriously and are always dealt with in accordance with the school’s strict racism policy.” The only injury to the Asian boy was a bruise on his leg. Hamas has accused the US and Israel of refusing to accept the result of a democratic election, after a report that the two countries are discussing means to destabilise and bring down a Hamas-led Palestinian administration.
The New York Times, citing diplomatic sources in Jerusalem, said Washington and Israel intend to block funding for the Palestinian Authority in an attempt to ensure that Hamas cabinet ministers fail and new elections are called.
Mushir al-Masri, a Hamas MP, said attempts to bring down a future Hamas government were hypocritical.

Approximately 8000 German nationalists met on Saturday and braved the snow to remember the 61st anniversary of the allied bombing of Dresden which claimed the lives of 300,000 civilians in 3 days of bombing. Many war refugees had fled to Dresden, which had little military value. The allies bombed the city continuously for 3 days and created one of the worst firestorms in history. Heaps of the dead bodies that were not completely burned littered the city, however no Hollywood film shows us this and our history classes do not teach the horror that was Dresden 1945. This was the most successful Dresden march ever with men and women young and old gathering peacefully to remember the horror that occurred. WASHINGTON - Republicans easily defeated three resolutions seeking information about the Bush administration’s policies on torture after a heated committee hearing.

IRAN’S largest selling newspaper announced today it was holding a contest on cartoons of the Holocaust in response to the publishing in European papers of caricatures of the Prophet Mohammed.
“It will be an international cartoon contest about the Holocaust,” said Farid Mortazavi, the graphics editor for Hamshahri newspaper - which is published by Teheran’s conservative municipality.

THE stabbing of six people by a gang of youths at Sydney’s Bondi Beach has raised the spectre of further beachside violence and prompted claims police are not adequately resourced to deal with the threat.

The six men were injured after one group, described as being of Middle Eastern or Mediterranean appearance and armed with knives and bottles, set upon the other near the Bondi Pavilion about midnight (AEDT), police said.
