5 soldiers a day deserting the military |

As criticism of the Iraq war grows at home, some US soldiers abroad are rejecting Bush’s mission. On military bases across Germany, many are now seeking a way out through desertion or early discharge.
When he goes underground, he won’t tell his mom. “John,” a rangy young soldier with arresting eyebrows, has planned each step carefully. He will spend his leave from an Army base in Germany at home in the northeastern United States, snowboarding, visiting friends, and hanging out with his teenage siblings.
Then he’ll disappear. When the military police call his mother and stepfather, the hard-line Bush supporters will be able to say honestly that they don’t know where their son is.

Mexico offended by border fence |

Showing that they could care less about what Americans want, Mexico is offended because a few workers may have stepped a few feet into Mexico. What about the thousands of Mexicans that flood into America illegally, bringing us crime, disease and poverty?
Many Mexicans see the border barrier as offensive
|
Mexico’s Congress has condemned what it says is a border violation by US workers building a controversial barrier between the two countries.
Legislators say workers and equipment building a section of the barrier have gone 10 metres (yards) into Mexico.
The alleged border violation comes ahead of a high-level meeting in the Canadian capital Ottawa.
US, Mexican and Canadian foreign ministers are to discuss border security and trade issues.
Mexican legislators said they had photographs and video, taken on Monday, of the workers and heavy-duty construction equipment that showed them about 10 metres inside Mexico near the border city of Agua Prieta and the town of Douglas, Arizona.
The Mexican Foreign Minister Patricia Espinosa said she had complained to the US authorities and that the men and equipment had been withdrawn. MORE>>>

Once again we see that politicians don’t care about our security when they appoint a dubious congressman to the Homeland Security Committee. Remember NJ’s gay governor McGreevey who appointed his Israeli lover in charge of the state’s Homeland Security even though he wasn’t a US citizen.
WASHINGTON (CNN) — Eight months after Louisiana Rep. William Jefferson was ousted from the powerful House Ways and Means Committee for allegedly chilling stacks of dubious cash in his freezer, his Democratic colleagues voted to give him a seat on the Homeland Security Committee.
The House Democratic caucus approved Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s appointment Tuesday of Jefferson to the homeland security panel, a decision that has come under fire from Republicans. Read more »

WINDHOEK (AFP) - Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe issued a stout defence in Namibia Tuesday of his controversial land reform programme, claiming it had been a success even if it had made more enemies than friends.

This time we are supposed to believe neo-nazis made backwards and totally misdrawn swastikas at a Jewish school in Berlin.
BERLIN (EJP)— A tragedy was avoided on Sunday after a smoke bomb, thrown through a window of a Jewish kindergarten in Berlin, failed to ignite.
However, the school, located in a northwest neighbourhood of the German capital, was not spared by the spray painting of [backwards and mis-drawn] swastikas, other Nazi symbols and anti-Semitic phrases, such as “Auschwitz,” “Juden Raus” (Jews, get out) and “Sieg Heil”, on its outer walls, as well as on toys that had been lying around in the school’s playground. Jews once again are celebrating their slaughter of non-jews and praying for the slaughters to continue.
The prayers for the Purim holiday have begun: The mystic Rabbi David Batzri, head of the “Hashalom” Yeshiva in Jerusalem, began a round of prayers around the country last week in order to remove the decree of the wicked Haman of our generation, who according to him is the president of Iran , Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
Batzri arrived at the Sukkat David Yeshiva in Jerusalem. He turned to the children and said: “Your prayers are helping your families and all of the nation of Israel, just as Mordechai Hayehudi gathered all the children and prayed with them to remove the decree of the wicked Haman.
