Shooting suspects get a beatdown, Philly-style

philly-cops-beat-shooting-suspects.jpgFox 29 has learned that three men beaten in a confrontation with Philadelphia police remain in custody Tuesday, and at least one man has been charged.

Fox 29 has confirmed that Pete Hopkins, 19, faces resisting arrest and other charges. A second man, Dwayne Dyches, is also in custody, as is a third unidentified man.

Police chief Charles Ramsey said later on Tuesday the three men would be charged of aggravated assault in connection with a shooting Monday night in the city’s Hunting Park section.

Ramsey also asked the public to wait until all the facts were understood.

“We don’t want to rush to judgment,” Ramsey told reporters about the police  beating videotaped from Fox 29’s SkyFox last night.

Video from SkyFox – first aired on MyFoxPhilly.com – showed the police following the car at a high rate of speed.  They blocked it in and the car eventually slowed down.

Officers then surrounded the car on foot and a large skirmish broke out, with police breaking out one car window and then struggling with the three suspects violently.  The video shows the suspects being uncooperative.  They eventually lie down on the ground.  The video shows officers then kicking and stomping them.  VIDEO & MORE>>>

That was not called for? It is an absolute shame that this is still happening. Just as soon as the police officers that shot Michael Bell in NY got little to no punishment, this happens again by police officers. The same police officers that are suppossed to protect us are our worst enemy!

Apparently the half-wit who posted before me dosn’t know how to read.

“While the officers were on surveillance, they saw a shooting involving four men who exited a car.”

“When officers arrived on the scene at 2nd and Cayuga, they found three people bloody, but alive, and laying on the ground.”

They tried to flee justice, and got what was coming to them. Bravo, Philly Police.

This type of thing makes me proud to live in Philadelphia. The police commissioner of course won’t say it, but this is exactly the style of justice we need to bring the crime / murder rate down. But all the blacks will be up in arms shortly, because it’s potentially a chance to sue the city of Philadelphia or the officers in question and stand to make a ton of money.

Karl at the top there must be black if he fears the law. Karl there must not also be a law abiding citizen if he fears the police.
