(Webbers Falls, OK) — A van loaded with suspected illegal immigrants picked the wrong driveway to pull into earlier this week in Oklahoma.
The van, loaded with 17 men, two women, and one boy, pulled into the driveway of the rural home owned by Webbers Falls Police Chief Tim Brown on Tuesday.
When Brown went out to investigate, he determined the group was in the country illegally.
He detained them until they could be transported to the Muskogee County Jail. Read more »
A month after journalist Fadel Shana was killed by an Israeli tank crew in the Gaza Strip, Reuters renewed its demand on Thursday for a prompt explanation from the Israeli army of why it fired on its cameraman.
Shana, a 24-year-old Palestinian, was killed on April 16 along with eight mostly teenage bystanders by darts known as flechettes that burst out of a tank shell in mid-air. Shana had been filming about 1.5 km (a mile) from two Israeli tanks.
The Israeli army said it had completed an initial field investigation that had determined the soldiers had followed orders and acted appropriately. But military lawyers still had to study the case before the army could give a full account. Read more »
MESA, Ariz. — A man with a history of violent crimes who hid in a motel attic in a six-hour standoff was caught after the structure caved in, Mesa police said.Officers took Adam Boston into custody after they used a robot and cameras to find him.
The incident started when police tried to serve a warrant at the Regency Inn at 1302 W. Main in Mesa.When police went into the room, Boston was gone, officers said.
Police found out he had escaped into the rafters when he partially fell through the ceiling of another room, investigators said.The hotel was evacuated, and officers spent the next six hours trying to find him using a robot, cameras and finally pepper spray. Read more »

Today I read the following opinion piece concerning Hitler and keeping a somber tone whenever he is mentioned. What the writer fails to understand is that she was referring to a big budget movie made by a Jewish man. If Jews were to stop making movies and other works about Hitler, what would they do? They have to keep reminding America of Hitler and all of the suffering that they say he caused them. We aren’t benefitting from the multitude of Holocaust books and movies which come out every year. If you don’t want to see Hitler and nazis all over the TV, book store and movie screen, ask the Jews to stop continuously making movies and books about him.

I recently traveled to New York. On the plane, I met an actress named Lenora. During the long flight, I learned that a) she’s Jewish, b) she works as an actress, and c) was doing a play in the hyper-liberal city of Santa Monica, Calif. Not exactly, I thought, a Reagan Republican.

Because so many recoil at the title — finding it offensive — I decided to talk about the book first. It argues that the civil rights war is over, and the good guys won; that white racism no longer remains a serious problem in America; and that so-called civil rights leaders and their sympathizers — the media and the Democratic Party — either believe or want Americans (especially blacks) to believe that race and racism remain a major problem. North Carolina community colleges yesterday banned illegal immigrants from seeking degrees, creating a new policy that is among the most restrictive in the US.
Community college system President Scott Ralls said he based the decision on the advice of the state attorney general’s office, which said last week that federal law appears to ban states from enrolling illegal immigrants in state colleges and universities.
“We sought that advice and we plan to follow that advice until further clarification,” Ralls said of the attorney general’s guidance. Read more »
ARLINGTON — When a state social worker announced she had malignant brain tumors, she received $21,000 in paid leave, lots of time off from work, and extra sick days generously donated by co-workers pulling for her in her fight against a terrifying disease.
