Driver shouldn’t have been on road

Court records show that Uriel Perez Palacios should not have been driving the Chevrolet Tahoe that authorities say he used on Labor Day to speed away from them before crashing and killing a young Irving couple.

As part of the bond requirements for the twice-convicted drunk driver, state District Judge John Creuzot ordered that a Breathalyzer device be installed in Mr. Palacios’ vehicle – a 2002 Dodge Ram truck.

To start the vehicle, the driver has to first breathe into the device, which tests the blood alcohol level. But after at least three violations since Jan. 14, Judge Creuzot in April declared Mr. Palacios’ bail amount of $3,500 insufficient, raised it to $100,555 and had him rearrested.

State and federal governments figure this way:

They’ll use any excuse to deny you the right to keep and bear firearms.

They’ll use any excuse NOT to prosecute bad drivers.

    Why?

Because there’s money in automobiles far in excess of the money spent on firearms.

    Get the idea?
