Radio host Mark Larsen wears blackface after Obama win

It didn’t take long for the first racially controversial routine to emerge in local media following the landmark success of Barack Obama’s election Tuesday as the nation’s first black president.
The moment came at 6 a.m. this morning, when WWBA-AM (820)morning man Mark Larsen, who is white, dressed in blackface makeup at the start of his show. Joined by the station’s news director Roger Schulman, Larsen joked about caking on the cosmetics, using a number of racially influenced comments in the process. Fans could watch the whole process go down via an in-studio Webcam.
“This gives me that Uncle Tom feel,” said Larsen, who also joked about changing his name to Marcus Washington Larsen. “Are you sure this comes off? Because I don’t feel like running for president.”
Before Tuesday’s election, Larsen talked about seeing a long line of black people waiting to vote at a Tampa Bay area polling place, saying they “looked like the line for takeout at Big Tim’s Barbecue” in St. Petersburg. And shortly after putting on the blackface makeup Wednesday, he told a caller he presumed to be black that “You love (America) because you have a man of color going to the White House. Before that, you probably were a malcontent.”
Still, Larsen said he intended no racial insult. “I wasn’t making fun of black people,” he added, noting that he was fulfilling a bet he made last year that he would wear blackface if America elected a politician named Barack Hussein Obama.Source>>>
Day one and people are already getting offended. The guy was voted in so lighten up on obvious satire. Have you heard what Chris Rock said a few years back regarding a black president?! And btw, he’s not the 1st African American President. He is the first Bi racial President. I’ll make as many jokes about Obama as was made about Bush. I don’t want to hear this he’s black and therefore off limits crap. Equality, means equality. Stop being so insulted and offended by white satire. Many black comics use the N word and Dave Chappelle goes in white face on most of his old shows making fun of how whites talk. Equality, dish it out but be able to take it.

THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR WHAT HE SAID OR DID. HE SHOULD BE FIRED.
This is an interesting topic. Now that we have a black president will comedians be free to make off-color jokes much in the same way that comedians poked fun at white presidents in years past? Might it be the end of political comedy altogether because people can’t stomach it when it’s directed at a black man? Or worse, can you imagine being thrown in jail and charged with a “hate crime” for telling a joke? Hmmm…

Senator Schumer is preparing a revival of the “fairness doctrine”. This says old-timey mass communications MUST give equal time to opposing viewpoints. This may go to the supremes.
“Fairness” goes back to the doctrine that the airwaves are inherently “public property” , doled out for the public benefit.
This is why you see all these charity pitches 3am so the networks can say they’re doing public good.
“Fairness Doctrine” has been called “hush rush”.

First of I am not a Nigger, A Nigger is a person of low character. You can talk about our president all u want , but u cannot change the fact that he changed the map and was elected fair and square. It is safe to say that a man such as the caliber of Barack Obama, change the game to garner votes from not red states or blue states but the United States.
