A punch-up between two far-right politicians from the neo-Nazi NPD party broke out in the regional parliament of Saxony in eastern Germany, a party spokesman said on Wednesday. An argument between Jürgen Gansel and Peter Naumann - both members of the National Democratic Party of Germany (NPD) - escalated into a fist fight, during which Gansel was punched in the face. Relations between the two have been strained for some time, the spokesman said, confirming an earlier report in the Leipiziger Volkszeitung. Gansel raised hackles recently when he described Barack Obama’s US election victory as the product of “the American alliance of Jews and Negroes” in a statement entitled “Africa conquers the White House.” Authorities in Dresden are now investigating whether he can be charged with inciting racial hatred as a result of the remarks. This is yet another example of the streetfighter(s) who couldn’t make the transition to politician.
I met these people.
In Germany it takes considerable moral courage to vote NPD. This courage has been rewarded by behavior that discredits the NPD.
It’s a betrayal of the NPD.
Also interesting is the fact that the NPD seems to be building from the state level upward. This is something we should emulate. Minus the streefighters and “action jacksons” who create more trouble than they’re worth.
