Brothers arrested for kidnapping, robbery

Gainesville Police arrested a pair of adults brothers early Thursday morning in connection with a March kidnapping and robbery.

Larry Baxter, 49, and Jerry Baxter, 52, both of Gainesville, were charged in connection with a March 26 attack on another Gainesville man in the 100 block of NW 8th Ave.

According to court records, the Baxter brothers attacked the man in a wooded area, hitting him several times on his head and body before jumping on him and then going through his pockets and taking a total of about $55 in cash.

After the initial attack, witnesses said the Baxters dragged the man out of the wooded area.source
