Red berets of The Guardian Angels coming to Austrialia

Dressed in red berets and printed white T-shirts, the Guardian Angels will establish their only Australian chapter in Canberra beginning with a small group of committed volunteers.
The safety patrol will focus on five areas in Canberra, wearing their distinctive red berets at Charnwood, Kippax, Lanyon and the Woden and Civic bus interchanges.
Local founder Damian Heffernan said he was inspired to establish the Canberra chapter after hearing about the fatal stabbing of Elizabeth Booshand at Charnwood shops in July 2008.
He said the incident was worrying, especially given the horrific event allegedly occurred in front of several children.
”I thought this is shocking that we can’t think about current and future generations safely going down and picking up fish and chips on a Friday night,” Mr Heffernan said.
Police Minister Simon Corbell said Canberra usually ranked as one of Australia’s two safest cities and there was no pressing crime problem.
He questioned why there was the need for such a group. ”There is no room for vigilante or paramilitary-type groups in community safety,” he said.
Mr Corbell described Guardian Angels founder Curtis Sliwa as a right-wing conservative commentator and encouraged those involved to give their time to existing organisations working to minimise crime, drug and alcohol problems. More at Source

One last thing about the guardian angels, their ranks here in nyc are FILLED with blacks and spics, they all look like they stepped out of central casting from a hollywood movie about urban gangsters from the 1980s–shades (even at night, why?), cut off finger gloves, key chains hanging off the side of their baggy cargo pants, and studded bracelets, and about fifty million things hanging from their berets ranging from raccoon tails to feathers. Do NOT let these guys start up Australia, you will be sorry! mates.
The Guardian Angels tried to come to Springfield MA a few years back.
Their first night here they were getting ready to start their neighborhood watch foot patrol and a car pulled up with the headlights off.
Two men with AK-47’s got out and sprayed a parked car next to them to ribbons. They didn’t try to hit any of them, they were just putting out the message that gangs run that hell hole, not cops, not community groups.
Needless to say, they left and I don’t think they have been back, of course you won’t catch me in Springfield to find out either.

Sliwa is an admitted degenerate liar and media shyster. He is looking for a buck by getting his name in the local news. The GA is a cash cow for this liar and his act is tired and old like him. He flies into town, gives the same stale speech, struts before the cameras, and then goes back down his rathole.
