So in a sense, the U.S. is taking a lot

The Obama administration is preparing to handle applications from as many as 200,000 undocumented Haitian immigrants who want to live and work legally in the United States under a new immigration program unveiled last week in the aftermath of Haiti’s destructive earthquake.

The federal government will begin accepting Temporary Protected Status (TPS) applications on Thursday, according to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Director Alejandro Mayorkas, whose agency will process the paperwork. Mayorkas was in Miami Wednesday to meet with local immigrant aid groups to South Florida to talk about the daunting task of handling the likely blizzard of applications from Haitians seeking the opportunity to remain in the United States.

Administration officials approved TPS for Haitians last week as part of an effort to help Haiti recover from the earthquake that left an estimated 200,000 people dead and about 1.5 million homeless. The TPS designation is reserved for selected undocumented migrants from countries disrupted by natural disasters, armed conflicts or other emergencies. Those Haitians approved will be allowed to stay in the United States for 18 months and be issued work permits to find jobs. To be approved, Haitian immigrants must submit proof of Haitian citizenship and must show they were in the United States before Jan. 12 — More

The United States has begun putting up tents at the U.S. naval base at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, to house Haitians in the event of a mass migration from their earthquake-ravaged capital,About 100 tents have been erected and 1,000 more have been ordered; each tent can hold about 10 people. I’m not against helping someone out but I think we pay way too much for the lazy niggers we have to sit on their ass all day and have babies so they can rob us some more. Now they want to let more in? Enough is enough!

200k is probably just the beginning. This is another brain dead idea. Way to go Congress. There should be manadatory birth control for countries that offer nothing for world or even their own countries for that matter. Two children maximum until you country shows improvement. Oh, and you cannot immigrate to the USA. Thats over with. We have a horrible problem with Mexico and Central America that needs to be dealt with. So, do not even think about immigrating. Thank you.

Notice how ALL these programs start out as “TEMPORARY”, I would be willing to bet a week’s unemployment that in a year or two haitian lobbyists will be pushing for permanent or an extension of this “program.” Same as the how many extensions “amnesty” programs for mexicans.
