Next we propose the creation of a US Council for Internet Safety (USCIS) that consists of heads of relevant government departments, industry leaders and NGO representatives. The Council would be responsible for creating a national strategy on online safety and for overseeing its implementation.

The Council would provide an important forum for regular dialogue across sectors and between government departments to maintain a focus and impetus behind the agreed upon initiatives.

I always used to wonder what it was about Jews that made people throughout history despise them. If they were indeed “God’s chosen” I thought, they had to be the unluckiest people in the history of the world. Why were they persecuted throughout history?

Two years ago this month Saddam Hussein was convicted of charges related to the executions of 148 Iraqi Shi’ites suspected of planning an assassination attempt against him, and was sentenced to death by hanging.

He was executed 2 years ago next month. He wrote a letter to the American people just weeks before his conviction and execution. The letter was collected by one of Saddam’s attorney’s Ramsey Clark, who in fact asked him to write the letter. It has not been widely published so as a matter of interest on the eve of the second anniversary of his execution we publish the letter in full as follows:

I’ve been thinking about this for a while so I might as well air it here. I honestly never thought we’d see such a thing in our country - not yet anyway - but I sense what’s occurring in this election is a recklessness and abandonment of rationality that has preceded the voluntary security in other places. I can’t help but observe that even some conservatives are caught in the moment as their attempts at explaining their support for Barack Obama are unpersuasive and even illogical. And the pull appears to be rather strong. Ken Adelman, Doug Kmiec, and others, reach for the usual platitudes in explaining themselves but are utterly incoherent. Even non-conservatives with significant public policy and real world experiences, such as Colin Powell and Charles Fried, find Obama alluring but can’t explain themselves in an intelligent way.

There is a cult-like atmosphere around Barack Obama, which his campaign has carefully and successfully fabricated, which concerns me. The messiah complex. Fainting audience members at rallies. Special Obama flags and an Obama presidential seal. A graphic with the portrayal of the globe and Obama’s name on it, which adorns everything from Obama’s plane to his street literature. Young school children singing songs praising Obama. Teenagers wearing camouflage outfits and marching in military order chanting Obama’s name and the professions he is going to open up for them. Barack Husein Obama said: “we also have to recognize that this is the final verdict on eight years of failed economic policies promoted by George Bush…that basically says that we can shred regulations and consumer protections and give more and more to the most, and somehow prosperity will trickle down.”

Well, here is an article that was written in September 1999, during President Clinton’s watch. The headline reads “Fannie Mae Eases Credit To Aid Mortgage Lenders,” written by Steven H. Holmes. The article also mentions Franklin D. Raines, who at the time was Fannie Mae’s chairman and executive officer. Today Mr. Franklin D. Raines is the senior economic adviser to the Obama campaign.

But at least one study indicates that 18 percent of the loans in the sub-prime market went to black borrowers, compared to 5 % of loans in the conventional market. What secrets did Saddam Hussein take with him? I have often asked this question to myself and have not yet come up with a satisfactory answer. This is a question most I think would like to hear the answer to. But in all my searches I have yet to find an article or story that even hints at them. I am curious about this matter due to the fact Saddam was put in office by the American government. He was given weapons to fight the Iranians when “American interests were threatened by the communist U.S.S.R. backed Iran”. The Iran, Iraq war lasting from September 1980 to August 1988, in my opinion was just the staging, beginning if you will, of what is now occurring today. My guess is that Saddam served his purpose, and was executed in the name of “National Security”. Three years after the Iran Iraq war, Iraq is invaded, by the very people who put Saddam in power. Why? Well the official story is Saddam invaded Kuwait, over oil. Five wars have been fought in Iraq, four of which America won with hardly any loss of life. This last one, the one that has lasted, the one that has cost countless losses of life the one that again is only the setting up of chess pieces for what is to come.

Median wages in today’s economy are too low, however, to support an ordinary family in many urban settings where families must live in order to work. Over half of mothers with very young children are now forced to work outside the home in order to make ends meet. Too often, mothers and fathers must choose between living on edge of poverty so that a parent can care for their children, and a more secure standard of living that consigns children to long hours of day-care. Many couples deal with this dilemma by limiting themselves to one child or no children.

Parents, family values, and children all suffer when both parents must work outside the home in order to keep a roof over their head and food on the table. The plight of so many Americans leads to demands for a government-guaranteed “living wage.” This is a misguided demand. SOURCE>>>>
