A retired engineer from New Jersey whose clandestine activities went undetected for more than two decades pleaded guilty yesterday to a criminal charge accusing him of serving as an unregistered agent for Israel.

Ben-Ami Kadish passed classified documents to an Israeli handler between about 1980 and 1985, when he worked at a U.S. Army research and engineering center at the Picatinny Arsenal in Dover, N.J., authorities say.

Kadish, 85, will face a maximum term of five years in prison when he is sentenced by Manhattan U.S. District Judge William H. Pauley III in February. The retiree acted out of a desire to help Israel, receiving only nominal gifts and family dinners in exchange for the 50 to 100 documents he shared, according to court papers filed by the government. more

Officials would not provide the exact number of missing, but about 20 men in their late teens and early 20s have disappeared in recent months and are thought to have joined Islamist rebels who are on the verge of overthrowing the U.S.- and U.N.-backed government in Somalia.

Most were from the Minneapolis-St. Paul area, the site of the largest concentration of ethnic Somalis in the U.S., but other Somali communities have had young men go missing as well.

The FBI assisted in returning the remains of one Somali man, Shirwa Ahmed, a naturalized U.S. citizen killed Oct. 29 in a suicide bombing in northern Somalia.

The FBI would not say whether Mr. Ahmed was a bomber or victim in the attack, in which five terrorists killed themselves and 29 others.

The core complaint to the European court centered on retaining DNA, not collecting it to solve crimes.

“The court was struck by the blanket and indiscriminate nature of the power of retention in England and Wales,” it said in its ruling. “The data in question could be retained irrespective of the nature or gravity of the offense with which the individual was originally suspected or of the age of the suspected offender.”

Britain’s current policy is to retain samples until the individual dies or reaches 100 years old. Scotland, which has its own legislature, destroys DNA samples taken during criminal investigations that are dropped.

DNA samples are also destroyed upon acquittal in Finland, Germany and Sweden.

The U.S. government announced plans this year to begin collecting DNA samples from anyone arrested by a federal law enforcement agency. DAMASCUS, Syria – Syria threatened Wednesday to cut off security cooperation along the Iraqi border if there are more American raids on Syrian territory, and the U.S. Embassy announced it would close Thursday because of a mass rally called to protest a deadly weekend commando attack.

Thousands were expected to participate in the government-sanctioned protest. Though authorities usually keep Syria under tight control and Americans have generally been welcomed, violence against U.S. and European interests at protests has erupted in the past.

“The U.S. Embassy will be closed on Oct. 30th due to past demonstrations which resulted in violence and significant damage to U.S. facilities and other embassies,” the embassy said on its Web site.

It also said an American school in the Syrian capital would temporarily shut its doors Thursday and warned U.S. citizens in Syria to be vigilant.

The Syrian government already ordered the closure of the school and an American cultural center linked to the embassy. In Washington, State Department spokesman Robert Wood said Syria formally notified the U.S. that the cultural center should shut down immediately and the school by Nov. 6. Source>>>

NAIROBI, Kenya – Blackwater Worldwide and other private security firms — some with a reputation for being quick on the trigger in Iraq — are joining the battle against pirates plaguing one of the world’s most important shipping lanes off the coast of Somalia.

The growing interest among merchant fleets to hire their own firepower is encouraged by the U.S. Navy and represents a new and potential lucrative market for security firms scaling back operations in Iraq.

But some maritime organizations told The Associated Press that armed guards may increase the danger to ships’ crews or that overzealous contractors might accidentally fire on fishermen.

Former Army Arab linguist Adrienne Kinne and former Navy Arab linguist David Faulk told an ABC News report they observed and participated in intercepting private calls between Americans while attached to the NSA listening post at Fort Gordon, based outside Augusta, Georgia. Ms. Kinne claimed calls by American journalists, aid workers and soldiers serving in Iraq were targeted, because she said she was told there were “special waivers” to make it legal. Both former intercept operators said intimate calls, including “phone sex” of soldiers calling home, were often passed around at the NSA facility so others could listen in.

The chairman of the Senate intelligence committee is looking  into allegations that a spy agency improperly eavesdropped on the phone calls of hundreds of Americans overseas, including aid workers and U.S. military personnel talking to their spouses at home.

The alleged intercepts were described by two linguists who said they witnessed the activity while assigned to the NSA’s giant eavesdropping station known as Black Hall at Fort Gordon, Ga. Adrienne Kinne, 31, a former Army reservist, was an operator at the site from 2001 to 2003, while Navy linguist David Murphee Faulk, 39, held a similar position from 2003 to 2007. Ryno, who staunchly defended killing dark-skinned aliens on the

Ryno, 18, was not aspiring to empower descendants of African-slaves,
as was Brown, but to drive intruders back to their homelands. Ryno

charges of “hate,” Ryno refused to back down, escalating his verbal

Immigrants have been returning to their places of origin, as a result
of activism by Ryno and countless others throughout the former Soviet
Union. The public and, even, police have been quietly sympathetic,
insofar as the ruling-regime had seemed paralyzed in halting the
invasion. Attention has, also, been drawn to Andrew Watkins, who is
facing a trial for “hate” in Kentucky for beating up a Mexican.
Watkins had stated that he showed “no mercy” to dark-hued immigrants,
but has made no further comment.

The question is whether the Brown and Ryno brand of defiance will
generate change, based on the tenacity of the proponents. One
rightist-activist, Jake Laskey, jailed for “hate,” has followed
Ryno’s lead, by refusing to apologize. However, Alex Curtis, who once
called for exiling of Mexicans, profusely “apologized” as part of a
plea bargain. Shaun Walker, who beat up a Mexican, insisted that it
“had nothing to do with race.” But, June Griffin, charged with
“hate,” declared, “I’m not ashamed of anything I did.”

On the day of trial, all charges against Griffin were dropped.
Griffin, who had told Mexicans to go back to Mexico, retorted that
“I’m not sorry. It’s normal that we should demand our flag to be
above all others. If America ever tolerates another flag, it will go
down.” Laskey, however, cautioned to use “peaceful methods” to avoid
prison. But, Jaroslav Broz, in the Czech Republic, was no sooner
released from jail on “hate” charges, for organizing anti-alien
meetings, than he quickly set up more meetings.

The more i think about this the more it becomes apparent to me the this is a potential false flag. Islamist extremists prepared last night to unload rocket-propelled grenades and anti-aircraft guns from a Ukrainian freighter seized by Somali pirates even as foreign warships surrounded the vessel. A US destroyer and submarine from an international taskforce set up to patrol the Gulf of Aden and Indian Ocean and two European-flagged ships were reported to be tracking the freighter that had anchored off the southern Somali coast. The ship’s captain contacted media outlets by satellite phone to say that one of his crew had died during the hostage drama. The pirates were demanding a $20 million (£10.8 million) ransom for the release of the MV Faina, its 20 surviving crew and cargo of weapons, which include 33 Russian tanks. Barack Obama has finally made his long-awaited pilgrimage to Israel, a rite of passage that no aspiring American politician, let alone a presidential candidate, can afford to miss or ignore. A federal grand jury indictment alleges the former executive director of the CIA, Kyle “Dusty” Foggo, was corrupted by lavish vacations in Hawaii and Scotland, expensive meals, a $2,300 cigar humidor and a promise of future employment. JERUSALEM - Israeli officials say the U.S. has provided Israel with an advanced radar system that will give early warning in case of an Iranian missile attack. The officials say the new radar was flown into Israel last week along with some 120 American crewmen and has been set up at the Nevatim  air base in the Negev desert. The system can pick up a ballistic missile shortly after launch. That will cut the response time of Israel’s Arrow system, designed to intercept incoming missiles. Billionaire investor Lev Leviev, Israel’s richest man whose estimated net worth is valued at $6.5 billion, is leaving the country to take up residence in London, a development which shocked the Israeli business community.

Leviev and his wife, Olga, will join their daughter, Ruthie, who has been living in London for many years and is not at all tied to her father’s businesses. Leviev’s other children plan to remain in Israel for the time being.

That McCain hope may now be receding as the latest turn in the Republican campaign seems to have one unifying theme when it comes to the Jewish community:  a determination to put as many Jews as possible back in their place—in the Democratic camp.  The GOP have scored an amazing trifecta - choose a Veep candidate who is a neophyte on Israel and foreign policy and has never stepped foot in the Holy Land, stoke the kind of cultural wars that make the Jewish community distinctly antsy, and then deploy old and crude anti-Semitic stereotypes when attacking Obama. Violence against Christian evangelical and Messianic Jewish communities in Israel increased significantly during the period between July 1, 2007 and June 30, 2008, according to the US State Department’s Annual Report on International Religious Freedom.

The report, released last week, put blame for the “tensions” on “certain Orthodox and ultra-Orthodox Jewish communities.”
