In a telephone interview with The Associated Press, Bloomberg said he fully understood Israel’s actions. ”
“I think as a New Yorker, we’ve been attacked twice by al-Qaida itself,” said the mayor, who is Jewish. “We’ve seen enormous devastation and courage and after that you sort of feel you have a bond, if you will, for those who live in a dangerous world and subject to someone trying to kill them.”
“All Hamas has to do is stop sending rockets over to kill people and agree on the accords that were negotiated earlier and come to an agreement that is verifiable, durable and effective to stop people from being killed,” he added.

Israeli Enemy/Death ratios exceed Nazi Enemy/Death Ratios |

I posted this to get everyones feed back on this, and I am completely on Palestine’s side,
The civilized world is shocked and appalled by the Israeli attacks on the densely populated Gaza Concentration Camp that - so far – has left 282 Occupied Palestinians dead and 900 wounded (120 critically). No doubt this appalling death and injury toll will rise.
The ostensible excuse by Apartheid Israel for its actions – and the excuse given for racist US and racist White Australian support for Apartheid Israel’s actions – is the barrage of rocket and mortar attacks on nearby towns coming from the Gaza Concentration Camp (guarded by the Israeli Navy at sea, and on land by the Israeli Army and by the Egyptian Army under acute threat from nuclear terrorist, racist Zionist (RZ) rogue state Apartheid Israel).
Yet if one assesses from official Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs data how many Israelis have actually been killed by murderous Gaza rockets and mortars in the last eight (8) years the total comes to twenty three (23).
Without in any way diminishing these tragic deaths from morally wrong, idiotic, counterproductive Occupied Palestinian violence, one must put these violent Israeli deaths into the dispassionate context of HOMICIDE (as opposed to anti-Arab anti-Semitic, racist, holocaust-ignoring Western and Zionist propaganda about “genocidal threat” and “terror” from “Islamic terrorists”).
Each year in the State of Israel (average 2000-2008 population about 7 million) about 15 people out of every million (i.e. 15 x 7 = 105 Israelis) are murdered by fellow Israelis who go “mad” from ANGER, greed, lust, fear, jealous or whatever – as compared to about 56 deaths per million per year in the gun-toting US (and about 200 deaths per million per year for African-Americans).source

. . . . resettlement agency moving into Ft. Wayne and referred to the plans of World Relief as a ‘cat fight’ with Catholic Charities.
Resettlement of refugees typically has been the work of Catholic Charities in Fort Wayne, which helped bring more than 600 to the city last year.
But World Relief, a faith-based international humanitarian aid organization, announced this year that it would open an office in Fort Wayne, in large part because of the frequent request for placements by refugees with family members in the city.
Wow, look at these numbers!
About 5,000 Burmese refugees call Fort Wayne home now, with as many as 1,600 more expected to be resettled in the city over the next two years. source

Why Are Jews Persecuted? |
| December 23rd, 2008 under Commentary, Editorials, Israel & Jewish Issues, Opinion, Religion, Shera Crossan. [ Comments: 2 ]

I always used to wonder what it was about Jews that made people throughout history despise them. If they were indeed “God’s chosen” I thought, they had to be the unluckiest people in the history of the world. Why were they persecuted throughout history?
Why had the Nazis herded them into cattle cars and taken them to “extermination camps” to dispose once and for all of the “Jewish problem?”
I suddenly recognized that if Hitler had developed a “Final Solution” to the Jewish question, that there had to have been a “Jewish Problem.” Could the Jews have in any way behaved in such a manner that would make the countries in which they resided turn against them, or were they just unfortunate, innocent victims?
I set out to find answers for my questions, mainly turning to the Internet, but also reading various books on the subject. What I found became increasingly disturbing to me.
I had not known that throughout history, the Jews had been expelled from 79 countries, some countries more than once. more

The Inquisition |

Noted historian and author Jonathan Kirsch discussed the history of the Inquisition. Kirsch defined the Inquisition as a joint bureaucracy of church and state authorities charged with the task of punishing anybody who failed to embrace the dogma of the Roman Catholic Church. It operated all over Western and Southern Europe, Kirsch said. The Inquisition formally began in the early 13th century, after the Pope’s failed Crusade against Christians in France (Cathars), and remained in existence for the next 600 years, until 1834, he explained. Though no longer conducting any Inquisitions, the Vatican’s Office of the Inquisition still remains, Kirsch noted, but was renamed in 1908 to the Office of the Doctrine of the Faith.
According to Kirsch, a diversity in religious practices and beliefs during the 1200s jumpstarted the Inquisition. Punishments such as fines, compelled pilgrimages, imprisonment and even burning at the stake were doled out to anyone who dissented from the Roman Catholic Church. Kirsch spoke about the forms of torture used in that time and said the phrase “to the third degree” comes to us from the Inquisition, when five different levels or degrees of torture could be implemented to compel confessions. He also pointed out that the Friar Inquisitors did not actually torture or execute convicted heretics. Instead, those tasks were delegated by the Church to civil authorities.
Kirsch called the Inquisition “a self-sustaining machine for persecution,” as the seized property of supposed heretics provided a stream of income to those in charge. Kirsch shared the example of the Knights Templar, who were accused of heretical beliefs as an excuse for King Phillip of France to take their treasure and wipe them out. Kirsch also talked about how certain features of the Inquisition have been copied over the centuries, most notably in Nazi Germany and Stalinist Russia, as well as the United States’ use of torture in its War on Terror.

Notably, in the last five days the amount of materials related to homemade explosives, VBIED’s [Vehicle Borne Improvised Explosive Devices], details on blowing up buildings, bridges and various infrastructure
are up by about 400% - 500% over normal rate.
Meaning that on any typical day there are several manuals available as an archived or older piece and available for download, but recently there is a huge influx of Explosives, Manufacturing and Training Manuals into the “current” sections of these websites
. This means they are the topic of conversations and the files are being downloaded at an alarming rate when compared to the normal flow of these items.
The VBIED files are specifically for “Use of Vehicles against Buildings” and bypassing security barriers designed to stop vehicles. The additional primary manuals showing up through these venues are for sabotaging various infrastructure such as electrical power stations, bridges, telecommunications, etc. sources

The new U.S. administration will provide Israel with nuclear deterrent guarantees in case of a potential nuclear attack from Iran, an Israeli newspaper said on Thursday.
The Haaretz newspaper cited a source close to U.S. President-elect Barack Obama’s transition team as saying “the U.S. will declare an attack on Israel by Tehran would result in a devastating U.S. nuclear response against Iran.
Israel is widely believed to have its own nuclear weapons since the late 1960s, but does not officially confirm or deny their existence. As of the late 1990s, the U.S. intelligence Community estimated that Israel possessed up to 130 nuclear warheads. MORE>>>>>

A Muslim lawyer has launched an extraordinary rant against Christmas, branding the celebration “evil.” Hate preacher Anjem Choudary claimed the festival was the ‘pathway to hell’ and urged his followers to boycott it. ‘In the world today many Muslims, especially those residing in Western countries, are exposed to the evil celebration of Christmas,’ he raged in a sermon broadcast on the Internet. His comments were condemned by Robin Tilbrook, chairman of the English Democrats, who branded them ‘nonsense.’

Forces assault besieged Jewish center 119 people dead |

Security forces assaulted a Jewish center in Mumbai where Muslim militants were believed holed up with possible hostages Friday, with black-clad commandos dropping from a Indian helicopter as sharpshooters opened fire on the five-story building.
The attack came as Indian commandoes scoured two luxury hotels room-by-room for survivors and holed-up militants, more than a day after a chain of attacks across India’s financial center by suspected Muslim militants left at least 119 people dead.
The well-coordinated strikes by small bands of gunmen starting Wednesday night left the city shell-shocked, but the sporadic gunfire and explosions at the Taj Mahal and Oberoi hotels dwindled overnight, indicating the siege might be winding down.
At the headquarters of the ultra-orthodox Jewish outreach group Chabad Lubavitch, a commando assault began shortly after dawn following a tense night in which six trucks of soldiers had been brought in to surround the building.Source

Two years ago this month Saddam Hussein was convicted of charges related to the executions of 148 Iraqi Shi’ites suspected of planning an assassination attempt against him, and was sentenced to death by hanging.
He was executed 2 years ago next month. He wrote a letter to the American people just weeks before his conviction and execution. The letter was collected by one of Saddam’s attorney’s Ramsey Clark, who in fact asked him to write the letter. It has not been widely published so as a matter of interest on the eve of the second anniversary of his execution we publish the letter in full as follows:

ACLU bans Christian bands from Thibodeauxville Fest |

The Thibodeauxville Festival, which draws nearly 12,000 people to the town whose population barely exceeds 14,000, has featured fun, food, street dancing and bands from a variety of genres for the past 16 years.
But when the ACLU spied the city’s seal on a flier that also promoted the Christian bands performing at the festival, it took action.
“Christians should not be discriminated against because of their beliefs. Contrary to the contentions of the ACLU, they have the same rights of access and participation at the festival as anyone else,” wrote Johnson. “The event is a family-friendly food and music festival that is privately funded. The city has done nothing other than allow the festival to be held in its streets. The ACLU’s threat is baseless.”source

A sample of what we have to look forward to…. |

This is what we’re up against.

On Sunday, November 9, 2008 Michigan liberals sat peacefully through announcements, worship and prayer for the sick, our nation and our President-elect before staging a coordinated, disgusting and repulsive attack on worshipers and the broader concept of the church itself at Lansing’s Mount Hope Church.
The lefties were a part of a liberal organization known as Bash Back Lansing and their collection of radical blogs, including one of the state’s most widely read “mainstream” progressive blogs (and none which will receive a link on this website) called on “queers and trannies” from across the state and the region to converge on Lansing for what they refer to as an “action.” While many of the members claim to be anarchists (they drove on roads, ate non-garden grown foods, printed materials on products created by government protected free markets, wore clothing, talk incessantly about “organization,” etc etc etc) their broader goal is stated plainly on one of their lefty blogs.
“I can tell you that we are targeting a well-known anti-queer, anti-choice radical right wing establishment.”
Mount Hope, for the record, is an evangelical, bible believing church whose members provide free 24 hour counseling, prayer lines, catastrophic care for families dealing with medical emergencies, support groups for men, women and children dealing with a wide variety of life’s troubles, crisis intervention, marriage ministries, regular, organized volunteer work in and around the city, missions in dozens of countries across the globe, a construction ministry that has built over 100 churches, schools, orphanages and other projects all over the world and an in-depth prison ministry that reaches out, touches and helps the men and women the rest of society fears the most. They also teach respect for all human life and the Biblical sanctity of marriage as an institution between one man and one woman.
This is what Michigan liberals label a “radical right wing establishment,” and over 30 of them showed up in force yesterday. Wearing secret-service style ear pieces and microphones they received the “go” from their ringleader and off they went. more

Nation of Islam Minister Louis Farrakhan said in an address Sunday celebrating Barack Obama that the new president-elect has a God-given capacity to handle any burdens he’ll face as the nation’s leader.
Farrakhan added that Obama will be able to make positive changes only with help from “God and people of goodwill,” and he urged followers of the Chicago-based black nationalist movement to do their part.
The Nation of Islam has espoused black nationalism and self-reliance since it was founded in the 1930s, but has reached out more lately to other groups, including immigrants. source

Life for a Viking child |
| October 29th, 2008 under Race, Real History, Religion, Rob Belatucadros, Top Stories. [ Comments: none ]

When we think of childhood today, we think going to school, engaging in afternoon activities, spending weekends with family and friends and going on summer vacation and sporting tournaments. Pastimes include reading a book, listening to music, talking to friends on the phone, playing video games and surfing the Net. It is a time of doing some chores to help mom and dad around the house. But it is mostly a time of enjoying a young life!
What was it like being a child during the Viking Age, a thousand years ago? Well, it certainly wasn’t like being a child today. For one thing, there weren’t any books, television, video games or computers! And because most children of the Viking Age had to work along with their parents, they had very little childhood at all.
At ten years of age, Viking children were considered to be adults. During their childhood, they didn’t attend school. There just weren’t any schools in Viking times. The printing press had not yet been invented and books, other than religious ones found only in churches and monasteries, did not exist for ordinary people to read. Educating children the way we do today wasn’t possible. And, it really wasn’t necessary. At a time when providing the basic needs of food, clothing and shelter took most of every waking hour, there would not have been time for school anyway.
Just because there weren’t any schools doesn’t mean that children weren’t educated. By the age of five, Viking children were expected to work to support the homestead. Children were required to learn the jobs of the adults. Since most Vikings were farmers, both boys and girls were expected to keep the family farm going.

The “one-drop rule” asserted that a single drop of black blood in an otherwise white citizen rendered that person black. Blackness was widely viewed as a contaminant that sullied white purity. (In antebellum America, white slave owners got around this problem by either denying the ordinary practice of raping and impregnating black women, or by justifying this predation as a racial improvement of the population of black slaves.) The rule was adopted by numerous state legislators in the first third of the 20th century, and used as the basis for Jim Crow laws. In 1924 Dr. Walter Plecker, a public health advocate who worked for Virginia’s Vital Statistics Department, said, “Two races as materially divergent as the White and Negro, in morals, mental powers, and cultural fitness, cannot live in close contact without injury to the higher.” It wasn’t until 1967 that the U.S. Supreme Court proclaimed Plecker’s Virginia Racial Integrity Act and the one-drop rule unconstitutional.more
