Another Skinhead Story
May 11th, 2008 under Top Stories. [ Comments: 4 ]

skinhead5.jpgThis latest is not a movie but a play.  It reveals the Jewish obsession with stereotypical ‘nazi skinheads’ in entertainment media.

The neo-Nazi skinhead evokes both fear and fascination in popular culture. While liberally minded folk may reject the racist dogma of the group, they also fetishize the militant youths in films, TV shows, and other entertainment. David Gow’s two-person play Cherry Docs confronts this revulsion and attraction head on by pairing a skinhead named Mike (Maximilian Osinski) with a liberal Jewish lawyer named Danny (Mark Zeisler), who is given the task of defending Mike after he is incarcerated for a violent crime against a Pakistani man. Eighth-Graders Suspended For Not Standing For Pledge Of Allegiance
May 11th, 2008 under Free Speech, Nathaniel Bacon, Top Stories. [ Comments: 2 ]

pledgenothin88.jpgThree small-town eighth-graders in Minnesota were suspended by their principal for not standing Thursday morning for the Pledge o Allegiance, violating a district policy that the principal now say may soon be rewarded to protect free speech rights.

The head of the Minnesota American Civil Liberties Union said that the school’s actions against the students are unconstitutional and his office has informed the district of that today in a strongly worded letter. “The school can’t do that; that’s illegal, “said Chuck Samuelson, the civil liberties group executive director. “Wow.”

Samuelson said that numerous U.S. Court rulings dating back to the 1940s say in “well-settled constitutional law” that students who refuse to participate in the pledge cannot be punished for refusing to participate.” STORY>>>

Mothers Day 100 Years Later
May 11th, 2008 under Health, Nathaniel Bacon, Race, Top Stories. [ Comments: 1 ]

momsday.jpgAnna Jarvis was never married and never had a child. But, like all of us, she had a mother. As a child, Anna sat through a Sunday School series where her mother taught on the subject, “Mothers of the Bible.” At The close of the series she heard her mother pray: “I hope someone, sometime will found a memorial day commemorating her for the matchless service she renders to humanity in every field of life. She is entitled to it.

After her mother died in 1905, Anna Channeled her grief in a constructive manner to fulfill her mothers prayer. She launched a nationwide effort to establish an annual day for honoring mothers. In 1908, Mothers Day became a fixture in most states.

The U.S. Census Bureau estimates that there are 83 million mothers in the United States. The number of single-mother households has tripled to more than 10 million since 1970. ARTICLE>>>

WW2 Reichstag Photo Faked By Red Army Jew
May 9th, 2008 under Nathaniel Bacon, Real History, Top Stories. [ Comments: none ]

fake88.jpgBERLIN, GERMANY — A Soviet soldier heroically waves the red flag, the hammer and sickle billow above the Reichstag. Yevgeny Khaldei photographed one of the iconic images of the 20th century. But the legendary image was manipulated to conceal the fact that the Soviet soldiers were looting. An exhibition of Khaldei’s work opens in Berlin this week.

It was early on the morning of May 2, 1945 and Yevgeny Khaldei had gone to the Reichstag, the German parliament building in the center of Berlin. Three hours earlier the last German commander left in the capital had capitulated, but there was still sporadic fighting going on. Khaldei had his Leica camera with him–and a Soviet flag. MORE>>>>>

Hate Crime law protects homo aggressor
May 8th, 2008 under Top Stories. [ Comments: none ]

blackfag24.jpg“The police department of Champaign, Ill., is reported to be under pressure from higher authorities to increase its quota of hate crimes convictions. Brett VanAsdlen, an 18-year-old college student on a baseball scholarship, didn’t know this. On April 12 he and a friend saw two homosexuals leaning on each other and holding hands, walking toward them on the sidewalk. ‘Look at those two guys holding hands,’ Brett said to his friend and walked past them. According to Brett’s mother, the next thing he knew, one of the homosexuals (whom he perceived to be drunk) had grabbed him by the shoulder, putting his face up to Brett’s and repeatedly shouting, ‘What did you say?’ Brett told him to go away several times and then pushed him. The homosexual fell over backward. On his back, the homosexual told his partner to call the police. In eight minutes, four officers arrived. Two interviewed Brett and his friend and assured them there would be no problem. Brett had been physically accosted and detained, clearly an assault. The other two officers interviewed the homosexual, who was taken to the hospital.” Read more »

Flawed wiring still electrocuting US troops in Iraq
May 5th, 2008 under Top Stories, War Coverage. [ Comments: none ]

us_iraq_soldiers.jpg Four years after after an urgent bulletin issued by the U.S. Army — with the headline ‘The Unexpected Killer’ — at least two more soldiers have been electrocuted, according to Pentagon and Congressional investigators.

The Defense Contract Management Agency tasked with supervising maintenance work by contractors at American bases in Iraq attempted to defend itself in a written statement as did KBR, which until just last year was known as Kellogg, Brown and Root and was a subsidiary of Halliburton.

From Sunday’s NYT:

“The Defense Contract Management Agency, which is responsible for supervising maintenance work by contractors at American bases in Iraq, defended its performance. In a written statement, the agency said it had no information that staff members “were aware” of the Army alert or “failed to take appropriate action in response to unsafe conditions brought to our attention.” Read more »

Warrant dropped against man named in polygamist retreat raid
May 3rd, 2008 under Top Stories. [ Comments: 4 ]

This is a great example of the media and government working together to manipulate public opinion and cover up the government’s intrusion into the private lives and freedom of citizens.  Notice how this article says that the source of the complaint call is being investigated.  But later in the article it says that the complaint came from the phone number of a woman in Colorado who has made false complaints in the past.  Wouldn’t that make it impossible for this call to Texas authorities from a woman in Colorado to be a legitimate call from a 16-year-old girl in a Texas ranch?  Is there a more clearly cut case of news doublespeak?  Who wrote and edited this article?  Nobody noticed how it doesn’t make sense?

An arrest warrant has been dropped for a man thought to be the husband of a teenage girl whose report of abuse triggered a raid on a polygamous sect’s Texas compound, authorities said Friday.

A Texas Department of Public Safety spokesman would not say why the warrant was dropped for Dale E. Barlow, 50, who lives in Colorado City, Ariz. Barlow has denied knowing the 16-year-old girl who called a crisis center. Read more »

Communists and immigrants fight mainstream America on ‘May Day’

immigration-rally-violent1.jpgCHICAGO — Thousands of immigrants and activists gathered in cities across the country Thursday to demand comprehensive immigration reform, including citizenship opportunities for the estimated 12 million illegal immigrants in the U.S.

Activists hoping to re-ignite the immigration debate in time for the presidential elections say this year’s efforts are focused less on protests and more on voter registration and setting an agenda for the next president. Read more »

House approves anti-genetic discrimination bill
May 1st, 2008 under Top Stories. [ Comments: 1 ]

Just what we needed, another anti-discrimination bill.

Companies would no longer be able to use genetic information like a person’s predisposition for breast cancer, sickle cell or diabetes to make insurance or job decisions under a bill passed by Congress on Thursday.

The House voted 414-1 for the legislation a week after it passed the Senate on a 95-0 vote. The bill would bar health insurance companies from using genetic information to set premiums or determine enrollment eligibility. Similarly, employers could not use genetic information in hiring, firing or promotion decisions.

Rep. Louise Slaughter, D-N.Y., said that for years doctors have been forced to tell women whose families have a history of breast cancer to refuse genetic testing for fear of discrimination. Read more »

Greek Citizens Sue To Reclaim The Word Lesbian
April 30th, 2008 under Heather Wright, Top Stories. [ Comments: none ]

lesbos.gifATHENS, Greece - A Greek court has been asked to draw the line between the natives of the Aegean Sea island of Lesbos and the world’s gay women. Three islanders from Lesbos — home of the ancient poet Sappho, who praised love between women — have taken a gay rights group to court for using the word lesbian in its name. One of the plaintiffs said Wednesday that the name of the association, Homosexual and Lesbian Community of Greece, “insults the identity” of the people of Lesbos, who are also known as Lesbians. “My sister can’t say she is a Lesbian,” said Dimitris Lambrou. “Our geographical designation has been usurped by certain ladies who have no connection whatsoever with Lesbos,” he said. Lambrou said the word lesbian has only been linked with gay women in the past few decades. “But we have been Lesbians for thousands of years,” said Lambrou, who publishes a small magazine on ancient Greek religion and technology that frequently criticizes the Christian Church. “Racist!” — People don’t want black pets

NEW YORK — Dozens of cats were lined up in cages at a Petco in Old Bridge, N.J., on a recent Saturday afternoon, much as they are most weekends at adoption events and shelters across the country. Percy tumbled playfully, while Parker snoozed in his litter pan, curled up with his cage mate, Alexandra. Chester gamboled about nearby.

Alexandra, a calico, and Chester, a brown tabby, received adoption applications, but Percy and Parker weren’t so lucky. They’re at a significant disadvantage in the adoption market, because they’re black.

“Black cats don’t get adopted nearly as frequently as other colors,” said Kathleen Fram, the co-chair of adoptions for the Summit Animal Rescue Association, or S.A.R.A., a nonprofit rescue group. “People just pass them by.” Read more »
